What we heard
Christmas Day has mixed emotions for many people. For those supported by the Wayside chapel, Christmas can be just like any other. To make Christmas special, Wayside needed help to fund meals for homeless people on Christmas day.
What we did
Good runners and walkers met at the Kings Cross fountain and ran/walked 5km to finish at Wayside Chapel. We had a tour of the facility and a talk about the work that Wayside does in the community.
Impact
Collectively we raised over $15K for the Wayside Christmas “Donate a Plate” appeal. This is equivalent to over 500 meals for Wayside visitors on Christmas Day.
